China-Peru partnership energizes Peru Chancay Terminal for economic development

With the joint efforts of Luz Del Sor and COSCO SHIPPING Ports Chancay Perú S.A., the administrative district where the Peru Chancay Terminal is located was recently connected to the power grid, which laid a solid foundation for the port to commence operations as scheduled.

As a collaborative endeavor between China and Peru, the Peru Chancay Terminal Project is expected to be completed and operational by November 2024. It will be developed into an important hub port in Latin America and a gateway port in the Pacific Ocean to propel local economic growth and serve as a new connection point and a bridge for China-Peru economic and trade exchanges.
