Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station marks 10th anniversary of operation

Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station?built by CTG recently marked the 10th anniversary of its comprehensive entry into service.
Located on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, the Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station is one of the six major power stations that make up the world's largest clean energy corridor.
Over the past decade, the station has generated over 350 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity,?equivalent to saving approximately 105 million tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon emissions by around 289 million tonnes.
During the same period, the Xiangjiaba ship lift has facilitated the passage of more than 18,800 vessels, transporting over 8 million tonnes of cargo.
The Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station is equipped with eight 800,000-kilowatt turbines, and the key operation indicators of the eight?turbines have always maintained the industry-leading level, and have met the requirements of "high-quality turbines" of the CTG.
During the past 10?years, the Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station has a flood control capacity of 903 million cubic meters. To date, the plant has mitigated 21 floods, with a total flood storage of 5.654 billion cubic meters.?
