The Wildlife Conservation Center (CCFS), closed during the pandemic in 2022, was reopened for community visits. This Center, a reference in the management of the Cerrado region and the Atlantic Forest wildlife, relies on over 350 wild creatures, including birds, reptiles, and mammals, that are unable to return to nature. This initiative was a collaborative effort involving a team of 20 professionals from CTG Brasil, Ecologic, Social, and Environmental Institutions, Refauna, the Federal Institute of Rio de Janeiro (IFRJ) and the Guapia??u Ecologic Reserve (REGUA).
