The Guangyang Island Ecological Facility Construction Project is located at the “Yangtze River Scenic Spot” in Chongqing. The initiative protects 4 square kilometers of riparian wetland regions and ecologically restores approximately 200,000 trees and shrubs through natural restoration and ecological rehabilitation. The natural restoration area covers 67% of the total island area, with over 90% vegetation coverage. Integrated with 11 kilometers of shoreline trails constructed along revetments and riparian zones, it transforms into the most beautiful ecological trail in Chongqing. The project will offer a cooling load of around 12 megawatts, a heating load of approximately 6 megawatts, a domestic hot water load of approximately 1 megawatt, and a partial power load for the “Yangtze River Scenic Spot” once operational. It can replenish up to 3,000 cubic meters of water daily for the island's aquatic ecosystem, supply 2,000 cubic meters of water for domestic use, treat 590 cubic meters of domestic sewage, and dispose of 5 tonnes of kitchen waste and landscaping garbage.
