Zhegu Wind Farm
The wind turbine is the one with the world's largest single-unit capacity installed in ultrahigh-altitude regions.
It adapts well to the ultrahigh-altitude environment, and is UV-, lightning-, cold- and frost-resistant. It is able to work stably under harsh natural conditions.
The wind farm, with a total installed capacity of 50.6 MW, consists of 15 wind turbines and is expected to provide over 150 million kWh of clean electricity per year, which is equivalent to saving more than 45,000 tonnes of standard coal and reducing nearly 130,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
