Fuyang Wind-Solar-Storage Hybrid Power Project

At the end of 2022, the first phase of the 650MW Floating PV project, which is part of a comprehensive base for wind power, solar power, and energy storage in the southern part of Fuyang City, Anhui Province, was fully connected to the grid.
The Fuyang Wind-Solar-Storage Hybrid Power Project in Anhui Province, the world’s largest floating solar project that utilizes idle water surface in mining subsidence areas, has achieved comprehensive ecological, economic, and social benefits.?
The solar project covers an area of approximately 13,000 acres, and fully utilizes the water surface to inhibit the growth of microorganisms in the water, thereby achieving water quality purification and long-term protection of the surrounding water environment.?
While optimizing the ecological environment, the solar power components are arranged on the water surface to harness solar energy and generate electricity, creating an aquaculture-PV hybrid development model.
The entire project consists of a 650 MW solar power station and a 550 MW wind farm. At the same time, a 300 MW/600 MWh energy storage power station has been constructed to ensure the stability and reliability of the power supply through multiple channels. It is anticipated that upon the completion and full operation of the entire project, the average annual electricity production will reach 1.9 TWh, saving around 600,000 tonnes of standard coal per year and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.57 million tonnes.
The project, which has an overall construction scale of 650,000 KW (including a first-phase construction scale of 250,000 KW), is located in Yingshang County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province.
